Transformers 4: Age of Extinction

Hey Hey Hey,

Aaaaaaaand I'm back. I've been on a break for a while more so because of my work at Zoic Studios and with its crazy episodic TV Shows and deadlines. We recently wrapped on several TV Series such as Once Upon a Time, The Hundred and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland which were very VFX demanding but rewarding when it was finally over. Now that the Visual Effects, Computer Animation and basically all 3D Computer Graphics work is slowing down, I'm looking to be back with the blog full time along with some new personal projects this Summer. In addition SIGGRAPH is on its way and this year it is being hosted at the Vancouver Convention Center, just a block away from Zoic Studios.

So to kick-start this blog again, I'm jumping head first with Michael Bay's Transformers 4: Age of Extinction. I've always found the Transformers Franchise to be enjoyable and to just be able to switch your brain off for 2 hours. When is Transformers 4 coming out you ask? June 27th which is actually only about 4 weeks away. And if you can't wait that long then you can play Transformers games such as Transformers Universe by Jagex over on Facebook, it seems to be catching on recently. Also check out the Transformers Youtube Channel with all the HD movie trailers and latest Transformers Toys. And if that's not enough then check out the Transformers TV Series with Hasbro.

For me the current Transformer that seems to be most recognized by the audience is Optimus Prime and secondly it's Bumblebee. But besides the Visual Effects cast how about the Transformers 4 trailer's leading live action cast members which include the likes of Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Ken Watanabe, Stanley Tucci, John Goodman, Kelsey Grammer, Jack Reynor, Peter Cullen and Bingbing Li. Pretty impressive line up of actors I'd say but I'm hoping this one makes it worth the theater price. Check out the latest Transformers 4 HD Trailers below.

The Haunting Hour Creature Wire Removal Shot

Here is another VFX Breakdown I did for The Haunting Hour Season 1 back in 2010. I'm not too sure how popular the show was at the time but it's been picking up momentum lately. This episode had about 45 shots in total and was around the Christmas break so we had little time to get all the shots out the door for colour correction and final delivery.

The Avengers Age of Ultron Teaser Trailer

So I just had to post this, I didn't even know The Avengers - Age of Ultron had a teaser trailer, did you? Looks promising though, another Summer hit I think for 2015. Transformers 4, World War Z & Marion Cotillard

Hey guys, So recently I`ve been having a spin with my career and new things are on the horizon. The wheels are turning and hopefully soon I`ll be able to confirm BUT until then we`ll kill some Zombies with Brad Pitt in World War Z and see what bigger explosions Michael Bay brings for Transformers 4.

Some interesting news today as Michael Bay official confirmed that Mark Wahlberg will be the leading man for the Transformers Franchise (TF4) which will be released Summer 2014.

World War Z starring Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Matthew Fox and David Morse upcoming post-apocalyptic horror film directed by Marc Forster based on a novel by Max Brooks. "World War Z" movie hits theaters June 21, 2013.

Brad Pitt stars as Gerry Lane, a worker at the United Nations, as he searches the globe for information that can stop the Zombie outbreak that is bringing down nations. He is racing against time and fate, as he travels the world trying to stop the outbreak of a deadly Zombie pandemic.


Rust and Bone



Marion Cotillard and Mattias Schoenaerts star in Rust and Bone, a drama directed by Jacques Audiard and written by Audiard and Thomas Bidegain in which a marine animal trainer and a brutish bouncer develop a relationship of strength and emotional dependence. Check out the trailer here.

Iron Man 3 Teaser

Superman, Man of Steel

Hey Hey, So I'm not sure if you guys know but I'm really excited about 'Man of Steel'. With director Zac Synder at the helm and quick fun fact, it was shot right here in Vancouver, I'm just stoked about its release in 2013. Also some of my friends are working on it so I'm definitely gonna show some love when it comes out.



Synopsis:
Next summer, "Man of Steel" is coming to the big screen. The film is from director Zack Snyder and producers Charles Roven, Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Deborah Snyder. The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer & Nolan, based upon Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster and published by DC Comics.

I'm really excited about this one with the story line. Seeing all the characters together is pretty exciting, perhaps the Avengers for the younger. Iron Man 3 Returns Robert Downey Jr. & Gwyneth Paltrow

All I got to say is Super-Freak-Kewl suits with Iron Man probably my favorite of the Marvel Comics.

Check out the first look at Iron Man 3 and the full range of the Iron Man Mark Suits in the background. Number 3 includes a full returning cast but with director Shane Black alongside Robert Downey Jr., Guy Pearce, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jon Favreau and Don Cheadle. Iron Man 3 is schedule for theaters in 2013.
